Bucky & Mystery

Safe Haven took in two more horses last week as they were headed to

the auction, so they were playing russian roulette w/ their lives!!!!! Not

that they had a say in the matter!!!! Buck is a 24+ Morgan , QH cross & is

a strawberry roan. Our farrier, Cody has changed his name to Roany, he

likes the name, & since we all ready have a Buck, we like it too. Roany is sweet

& it looks like he as a good chance to be one of our lesson horses! will keep

you posted on that.


Mystery is a 20 ish bay mare & was named Mystery as the owners didn't know

what breed she is !!!! She is very long in the back & has some fluffies on her legs.

She is a lesson horse & did very well in lessons on Sat for 10yo Sam, her sponsor.

Sam was so cute, she keeps calling her Miracle, I would say you mean Mystery,

& Sam would say " that's right" & in the very next sentence about Mystery, she'd call

her Miracle!!!!! So maybe there's another name change for her too!!!!! Will let you know

about that too. Saturday is always a fun filled day @ SAFE HAVEN HORSE RESCUE

Bucky & Mystery

Onyx

Onyx is a 2 year old Arabian colt, that was saved by Shirley P. from out of the
kill pen.

Shirley you ROCK !!!
Poor little Onyx has not had a very easy life
so far -- his lower jaw had been broken a one time,
so his bottom doesn'tquite meet the top.

But he can still eat, & his tongue was almost cut in half !

At such a young age you'd think he'd be done w/ the human race but he is
just as sweet & gentle as can be! Onyx's sponsor Dave M. has been taking very
good care of him, giving him baths, spending quality time with him , &
exercising him in the round pen. He is Dave's little buddy.

We'll post a picture soon!!!
