So the very hard decision was made & we had him humanely euthanized last week. I met them up at the vets, & Linda R. Holly, Dr. Hillary & I saw him to his final moments!
I scratched him on the forehead, that he dearly loved to rub on you, &&& then even tho, it is a bad habit, I let him rub his head up & down my side, just once more for old time's sake! He was a happy camper!
He sure was one of the favorites out at the ranch! My Grand Daughter, Lydia, when she was about 11, she was riding him in the arena one day & there was a rattlesnake crawling threw the arena & Diamond never moved!!! He just stood still, so we could take care of the problem! Good BOY!
Our hearts have been ripped right out of our chests, but, we find solace in knowing that he is up there in those Rainbow Bridge Meadows, romping with his good buddy, Patches, & they are young & strong!Bye for now,
Linda C.
