What BRAVE Workday Volunteers!

Safe Haven horse Rescue would like to THANK all the Workday Volunteers who 'braved' the 38* weather to come out & help with the horses! I think that was the coldest EVER for Volunteer Workday! The wheelbarrows got quite the work out, & we are so grateful to all who scooped!

First order of the day for Linda C. was to start a fire!

Wado was ready for some warmth & he helped to gather the fire wood from up at the house! Thanks Wado, you ROCK!

In the midst of all the usual activities, Linda R. called her neighbors to say to them that the horse they have was not feeling well & she had noticed it was losing weight again!  SO! Low & behold, they gave us WOODY!

As you can see he was a big 'hit' with the kids right from the start! He's a nice size & seems to be very sweet.

OK! Here's the 'Lunch Ladies' of the day! Cindi & me, Linda C.  Priorities first, so hay for Woody before we fix lunch!

The fire was quite popular for the young folks!

Cherokee got some brushing from theses ladies that have just found out about Safe Haven 2 days before! Welcome, & Thank You both, for your help! Hope to see you often.

Andy is having a romp in the arena! Andy is the Grandson to Secretariat! He is very tall, 17.2 hands & is very sweet & gentle.

This is Rebel, taking a 'breather' from the romping, & Mike K. actually caught his breath in this shot! That's how cold it was! Rebel is available for Adoption & would make some one a very nice horse. His info is on the website or you can get in touch directly with Linda R. 530-347-4941/ 530-524-1473

Oh gosh here comes Billie!!!! He is Bonnie's special project & was even before she found out that his registered name is Bonnie's Ole Boy!!!!!

Bonnie brought out Billie to run, as his next door neighbor is Sassy & she was out for a romp. Sassy is a quarter horse, & is up for Adoption also.

WHOO HOO! Look what Cindi did!!!! Yes she was Safe Haven's Grill Master of the day!

Cindy also made this Stellar Macaroni Salad!

Somebody helped out the Lunch Ladies with this delicious pot of Spaghetti!!!!! Nice surprise & yummy Spaghetti! So who was the other Lunch Lady?

Here she is, it's  TYRA!!! Not only did she bring food & her girls to help out, she did lots of horses care too!!! Tyra, you ROCK!

So after lunch, a new set of horses was let out in the arena for their turn to romp! Here is Safe Haven's PMU Rescue, Splash. Go baby girl go!!

Cori brought out Zipper, the other PMU Ambassador at Safe Haven. Andy, who we saw earlier, is as tall as Zipper!

The Mini's got their fair share of attention too! Here's little miss Minime!

Pippi is out for her romp & is looking good! She is also up for Adoption! Well, there ya have it, another successful Volunteer Workday! I hope that all the people who came out to help, realize how much Safe Haven appreciates them! It takes a 'Village' & Safe Haven Loves having a big Village!!!!  Thank You ALL so very much! Bye for now, Linda C.
