Hi Everyone!
I thought I'd list our schedule for the next couple of months, we're gonna be busy!!!!!
On the 5th of April,
we will be at the Anderson Fairgrounds for the "Love Your Pet Expo."
I think the hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
We were going to do a Cowpie Bingo w/ Sammy the dwarf steer (who is absolutely adorable), but Linda R. is having surgery on her arm on the 2nd,
& since she is the one to handle Sammy, we thought we'd
better take horses instead so the rest of us could handle them.
SO we're taking the two biggest horses we have!!!, Zipper a Thoroughbred &
Percheron cross, & Splash a Belgian Paint!!!
They are gentle giants & it will be fun to show them to the public.
Both of these horse are a product of the PMU industry,
& will give an opportunity to educate the public on that awfull situation
that some horses must indure. Thank Goodness there are way fewer farms doing that now.
OK back to the schedule!!!!
Safe Haven will be having it's 1st Springtime PLAYDAY on April 13th
at the Bobby Jones Arena here in Cottonwood.
I would like to invite those of you w/ horses to come & participate, & those of you who don't have horses to come watch the fun also as you can help support SAFE HAVEN
by having lunch at our snack bar & also buying raffle tickets for the drawings we have during the day.
On Sat. April 26th Hawes Farm & Ranch in Anderson will be having a Customer Appreciation Day, they will have a cowpie bingo, & are going to donate most of the proceeds to Safe Haven......WHOO- HOO!!!!!!!
On April 27th, CSHA ( California State Horsemen Association, Inc) will
have their "Open Schooling Show"at Bobby Jones arena &
they have invited us to come & put up a booth, so we will be there w/
the tack that PET Smart donated to Safe Haven.
Oh I almost forgot! the 12th will be Volunteer Work Day at SAFE HAVEN!!!
We'll make ya lunch if you come out to help :-) Hope to see you all at everything that's on the schedule!!!! in April!!!!!! ( will list more later as this is just for April)
Bye for now,
Linda C.

Hi Linda! I have your blog bookmarked and check in to see how miss barbie is doing. I hope she is enjoying your nice weather, ours has not quite made the jump to spring yet. Any new pics or info of the missy when you can would be most greatly appreciated!
I have to say your seniors all look so great. My daughter took lessons on a 26 yo mare that was just the best teacher. She was a little cranky but i think the lessons kept her young.
Thank you for taking such good care of the horses!
