Feeding Deena, Wednesday evening 3/31/10

It was my turn to feed the horses, last night at Safe Haven Horse Rescue!!!!! I had lot's of help! Thanks to; Steve, Cindi, Lydia, & David, & WADO!!!! So, I took a moment or two, & got a few pics of Deena! She seems to have settled in some, now. Still looks a bit sad, but not so totally out of it!!
Doesn't she have the sweetest face! The next pic coming up is when she heard the ZoomZoom coming!!!!

And look at the interest we have now!!!! SWEET!!! She perked those ears Right Up!!!
She was given her mush, & some alfalfa, & grass hay. We are transitioning them over to alfalfa, cuz they've been on pasture, so for right now, they both are getting alfalfa grass mix.
Deena, will have grass hay in front of her 24/7 just so she can munch to her heart's desire!!! She is also getting the mush mixture am & pm feedings. Safe Haven is also working on getting a 'special' feed, that is made in Texas! A most wonderful lady 'Brambles', has made arrangements with the developer of this feed to sell Safe Haven 1200 lbs of this, at a very good price!!! So, Brambles & her fellow FOB's (Fans of Barbaro) are busy on the Alex Brown Racing Forum seeking out donations for the feed cost! Brambles, is covering a large portion of the cost of this special feed. THANK YOU BRAMBLES!!! THANK YOU to the ROCKIN' FOB's for once again RIDIN' to the RESCUE OF OUR SWEET EMACIATED DEENA!!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!!
Ok! back to the business of getting this feed, transported from Texas to Cottonwood, Ca. We have calls out to quite a few people to see if they can help, or do they know someone coming out this way from Northeast Texas!
