May 15, 2010 was a Very Busy Day!!!!

Safe Haven Horse Rescue was sooooo.busy on Saturday!!!! Some Volunteers went to Tractor Supply in Redding to be part of all goings on there! We had our 4 Stall, Gabled Breezeway, barn tickets for sale & T-shirts, hats, & info about the horses on display!!! A 4H group was selling hot dogs for their group, & Raining Cats & Dogs were there with some pretty cats that are in need of loving homes! Steve drove us all up to Tractor Supply & hauled the minis in his trailer, Thank You, Steve! He also helped to give everyone info on Safe Haven!
Lydia was awesome! She groomed the mini's we took, & was a fountain of information all about Safe Haven Horse Rescue! We also saved all the hair we got off the two & are planning on sending it to help w/ the clean up of the oil on the Emerald Coast! You can sign up to help too!!!! Go to; www.matterof trust.org they are asking for any type of hair, wool, & nylons!!! Please jump on board to help!!!
Yes! We took Tootsie & Minime!!!! They did their fair share of fund raising for Safe Haven also!!! I bought a bag of treats & they really enjoyed all the attention & of course the Treats!!!!
Mean while.....back at the Ranch........Linda R. takes Deena to the green pasture area for some grazing! WOW! Look at her! She is filling out very nicely!!!!! She still has a ways to go, but she is definitely on the mend!!! So SHINY too!
This is Judd, he's a newbie! He came all the way from Indio, as his owner is getting too feeble to take care of him! Judd is up there in age too. He is a Medicine Hat Paint!!! He has the color covering his ears & the shield of color on his chest!!!!! This is Crystal riding , she is Safe Haven's NEW Riding Instructor!!! She will have riding lessons available SOON!
Here's another newbie!!! Arabian Dancer! Barb, an awesome volunteer, is riding him! Louie & Judd are newbies, but they have been @ Safe Haven for a couple of weeks now. We let them settle in long before ride them!!!
Lynette on Owen went for a ride in the arena, & then.................................................
Owen went to his new HOME!!!! Your new Dad says come on Owen in you go! Good Boy!
There was also a photo class, w/ Michael K. showing the group how to take pictures of horses. They got some good action shots of Romeo, Saber, & Louie running in the arena!!! Can hardly wait to share those w/ you all!!!!! This is just a few of the things that were done yesterday @ the ranch!! Everybody was busy busy busy!!!! Really hope to see you out there SOON!!!
Bye for now,
Linda C.
