Somewhere........ Over the Rainbow............

Sad, Sad, news.........Safe Haven Horse Rescue.......had to humanely euthanize, our Dear Sweet lesson horse Red, due to kidney failure! The Vets, at Cottonwood Vet Clinic, kept him over nite, & worked diligently on him, but his kidneys were just all shut down....................so there was only one thing to do :[ We all will miss him so much!!! He was such a good guy! So to help ease the pain of it all, I have posted some pictures from over the years, that we had the honor to know this wonderful Horse! Red, arrived at Safe Haven Horse Rescue, in June of '07........this pic was taken shortly after. Look at how, he is just, so interested, in that little girl to come over & see him! He was always happy for a little attention!
Sam, is riding Red in the arena & it looks like they're doing quite well!! He was such a versatile old guy! Always a favorite amongst children & adults!

Here is Red, & one of the Papash girls, at the Playday fundraiser, having a short break & soda. The blue ribbon marks that he is a Safe Haven Horse, & the beautiful curly mane is all his! He was just so cute!
Red got to go camping this last summer!!!! He went to the coast!!! This is Holly on her adopted horse Lovey, & her Dad, Larry, on Red, in this beautiful meadow! Whenever Larry needed a horse, his only choice was Red! They had their very own relationship, And a Good One at that! Here they are at Clam's Beach, having fun in the water!Red, you were a Champion amongst Champions.............& now our Sweet Boy...........we must learn to live without you! We know you are running.............. Wild & Free...........& in that we have Peace!
Good Bye Old Friend!
